There have been plenty of reports circulating about the off-the-field situation at Sunderland during the break from competitive action.
However, the club have released an official statement, which answers the questions that supporters would have had after reading various reports.
In the report, it states that the club are debt free, and that all parachute monies utilised by Madrox will be returned to the Black Cats.
It is also revealed that this process doesn’t impact the sale of the club, whilst also revealing that Madrox will continue to invest into the club.
Sunderland are currently sat seventh in the League One table, but are just three points adrift of the automatic promotion places, although recent off-the-field events called an abrupt halt to fixtures across the UK, with no scheduled return date in place as of yet.
Plenty of Sunderland supporters were quick to issue their thoughts on the latest announcement from the club on Monday evening.
