Huddersfield Town announced yesterday that midfielder Abdelhamid Sabiri has left the club after a disappointing two years with the Terriers.

The 22-year-old arrived from Nurnberg in the summer of 2017 and was considered a real talent after impressing in German football.

However, he couldn't take that form into the Premier League and he featured in just five league games as David Wagner's side managed to stay in the top-flight.

And, he was on the pitch just twice as they were relegated last season, with his final involvement for the Yorkshire club coming in December 2018.

Therefore, a move always seemed likely this summer and the Championship side confirmed on their official site that they had mutually agreed to terminate Sabiri's contract with immediate effect.

It's fair to say losing the midfielder hasn't really bothered the supporters, with many happy to see him go due to concerns about his attitude and professionalism.
