After last season’s disappointing Sky Bet Championship campaign, many were expecting big changes to be made at Sheffield Wednesday this summer.

Exits were to be expected, with Jack Hunt amongst the first through the exit door at Hillsborough.

Confirmation came from Sheffield Wednesday this morning that Hunt had agreed a permanent transfer to Bristol City, with the right-back agreeing a three-year deal at Ashton Gate.

The 27-year-old made over 100 appearances for the Owls during his time in South Yorkshire, playing a key role in helping Wednesday to play-off appearances in 2016 and 2017.

However, he has now moved on after a difficult year saw Wednesday eventually stumble to mid-table under Jos Luhukay.

As expected, Hunt’s departure received plenty of reaction from Wednesday’s supporters on Twitter…

Hunt has been a good servant at Hillsborough, with many disappointed to see the right-back departing.

Supporters will hope he’s replaced with real quality.
