West Bromwich Albion manager Darren Moore is blessed with probably the two best strikers in the Championship in Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez.

Gayle 27, is on a season long loan from Newcastle United where he scored 29 goals in 67 appearances while Rodriguez 29, will be looking to add to the seven goals he scored last season for the Baggies in the Premier League.

So who is the better forward?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

Tough call.

I think Gayle is a better poacher, a better out and out striker. He’s probably quicker and a little more clinical.

Rodrigues though, he’s more complete and he’s done it in the top flight. Perhaps that gives him the edge on his partner.

Jay Taylor

It is too hard to call as both often something different, hence why they are a great tandem at the head of the West Brom team.

Gayle is more adept to running off the last man and getting played in from behind, while Rodriguez likes to get the ball to feet and bring others into play before getting into the box himself to finish like a real poacher.

Both are different prospects and compliment one another well, so it is impossible to call.

George Dagless

I'm siding with Rodriguez.

Both are absolutely fantastic forwards - especially at this level - and both have a chance of the Golden Boot.

I just think Rodriguez offers some real guile up top and that's why he edges it for me.
