Cardiff City will be looking to build upon their recent 1-0 victory over Norwich City by securing a positive result in their showdown with Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium tomorrow.

The Bluebirds sealed all three points in front of their supporters last weekend thanks to a goal from Romaine Sawyers who joined the Welsh outfit earlier this summer.

As well as swooping for Sawyers, Cardiff have bolstered their squad by signing a host of other players in the current transfer window.

With the window set to remain open until September 1st, it will be interesting to see whether the club opt to engage in some more activity over the coming weeks.

Here, we have decided to take a look at the latest Cardiff transfer headlines that you might have missed...

Bluebirds seal permanent deal for Kion Etete

As confirmed by Cardiff's official website yesterday, the Championship side have sealed a permanent deal for forward Kion Etete after reaching an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur.

Although the Bluebirds have not disclosed the amount of the money that they paid for the 20-year-old, it is understood that Etete has joined the club for a fee believed to be in the region of £500,000.

The forward, who was loaned out by Spurs to Northampton Town and Cheltenham Town last season, could make his debut for Cardiff in their meeting with Reading.

Steve Morison reveals Cardiff's stance on move for Andy Carroll

Steve Morison has revealed that he is not looking to bolster his attacking options by swooping for Andy Carroll this summer.

Pundit Nathan Blake recently suggested on BBC Radio Wales that Carroll, who is currently a free-agent, was a target for the Bluebirds.

Speaking to Wales Online about this speculation, Morison said: "The notion I'm looking for Andy Carroll, for example, is miles away from it!"

Cameron Antwi set to finalise move to Cardiff

According to Wales Online, Cardiff are poised to sign Cameron Antwi on a free transfer.

Antwi has been training with the Bluebirds' Under-21's this summer after being released by Blackpool following the culmination of the 2021/22 campaign.

During his time at Bloomfield Road, Antwi only managed to make two senior appearances for the Seagulls who sealed a 16th-place finish in the Championship last season.
