Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen admitted it was flattering to be linked with a move to the Premier League but insists his focus is entirely on the Tigers.

The 22-year-old has been enjoying an outstanding individual campaign, where he has managed 16 goals already.

And, such good form hadn't gone unnoticed, with Tottenham among the top-flight clubs heavily linked with the talented player.

However, Bowen told the Hull Daily Mail that whilst it's nice to be mentioned with such clubs, he was only concentrating on helping his current side.

"It’s surreal when you see your name being linked with these big teams, but that just shows how well I’m doing. Sometimes I have to pinch myself and say ‘I am a good player’.

"When you see your name with these Premier League clubs, that’s where everyone wants to play, but my loyalties lie with Hull City so I can’t say anything about those teams because it’s talk. My aim is to get this club back into the Premier League."

A run of one win in five games has seriously damaged Hull's play-off hopes, with Nigel Adkins' side now seven points behind the top six.

The Verdict

This is a very sensible message from Bowen and you have to say he has handled all the speculation superbly.

It hasn't impacted his form and he seems like a very level-headed player who is enjoying his football for Hull at the moment.

Realistically, he will surely move on in the summer if the Tigers don't go up but he deserves credit for how he has stuck around and always given his best.
