Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon is reportedly only interested in a move to Tottenham Hotspur and is prepared to wait for that move.

Sky Sports reported this morning that a £25 million fee had been agreed for the 19-year-old, however, The Mirror has now claimed that the move has stalled.

According to The Mirror journalist Darren Lewis, Sessegnon is only interested in a move to the North London club.

Lewis suggested that the left-back is willing to wait for his move, whether it takes until January or next summer.

The defender showed he is ready for the Premier League last season, providing two goals and six assists for a Fulham side that had a disappointing year and slumped to relegation.

Sessegnon has developed through the academy system at Craven Cottage and, despite only being 19, has made 120 appearances–scoring 25 goals and providing 18 assists.

Fulham lost their opening game of the season 1-0 against Barnsley on Saturday.

The Verdict

This update should reassure Spurs fans and may mean that Fulham may be more likely to hold on to the 19-year-old this summer.

If Sessegnon is determined to only move to the North London club then they may be happy to wait until January in order to get the deal done rather than rushing it through before the deadline, which is likely to result in a higher fee.

It would be a boost for Scott Parker’s side if the 19-year-old is still in the squad when the window closes at 5pm, especially given his sensational performance in the 2017/18 season, which saw him score 16 goals and provide eight assists.
