Tottenham Hotspur have added two Championship stars to their summer shopping list as they look to challenge for the Premier League title, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Spurs didn’t make a signing of significance last summer, but have still reached the Champions League quarter finals. With their new ground due to be ready for next season, they’re now reported to be keen on adding several new faces to their side.
Jack Grealish – who has scored four in the league – is one of the Championship players on their list. They were pursuing the 23-year-old last summer, but a move broke down and he remained a Villa player.
He’s recently bounced back from injury is rather spectacular fashion, bagging two goals in two matches.
Hull City striker Jarrod Bowen – with 18 goals this season in the league – is also thought to be on their shopping list, the second of two EFL stars they’ve coveting.
22-year-old Bowen has been sensational for the Tigers this season, helping to fire them to mid table safety when a season of struggle was predicted.
Bowen has 19 goals from 37 outings this season and is likely to break through the 20 barrier in the coming weeks.
He joined Hull from Hereford United in 2014 and has developed into one of the finest forwards in the Championship.
Both players are incredibly talented and young enough to develop further.
They’re perhaps of the age where senior football and second-tier experience has taken them as far as they can.
Both will look at Dele Alli’s progress and think that perhaps the new White Hart Lane is the place for them.
