Sky Bet Championship side West Bromwich Albion have made an enquiry for Tottenham Hotspur forward Vincent Janssen, according to exclusive reports from Football Fancast.

The Baggies are in the market for a new forward, with 22-goal ace Jay Rodriguez recently signing for Premier League side Burnley.

Slaven Bilic is set to make his second signing of the summer with Kenneth Zohore set to arrive from Cardiff City for £8m, but it doesn't look like the Croatian boss is stopping there.

Football Fancast claim that Albion have made an initial enquiry for Tottenham Hotspur forward Vincent Janssen, who is seemingly surplus to requirements at the North London club.

The 25-year-old made just three appearances for Spurs last season, all of those being substitute appearances, and with just one year left on his contract, a move could be very likely indeed.

Janssen signed for Spurs from AZ Alkmaar in 2016, but has since scored just six goals in a total of 42 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino's side.

West Brom have made just the one signing this summer, with midfielder Filip Krovinovic arriving on a season-long loan deal from Portuguese side Benfica.

The Verdict

West Brom fans are likely to be quite unhappy with this signing, given how much of a failure Janssen has been for Spurs since arriving in North London.

It was always going to be hard for him when he's playing backup to one of the best strikers in the world in Harry Kane, but his goalscoring record for Spurs is quite appalling really.

He could be a good signing for, but after losing both Rodriguez and Gayle, West Brom need a proven goalscorer to replace the duo.

Is Janssen capable of scoring 20 goals? I am really not sure.
