Tottenham Hotspur are set to include midfielder Josh Onomah in their pursuit of Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

Mauricio Pochettino's side have been heavily linked with the exciting teenager for what seems an eternity, after establishing himself as one of the most promising youngsters in the country for Fulham.

The 19-year-old, who has also been reportedly attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, was one of Fulham's shining lights as they were relegated from the Premier League last term.

In order to try and speed up the deal before Thursday's transfer deadline, though, Spurs are now set to offer midfielder Josh Onomah to Fulham as part of the deal, as they look to secure Sessegnon's signature.

Onomah, who came through the ranks at White Hart Lane, enjoyed an impressive loan spell with Sheffield Wednesday last season, as well as impressing on loan with Aston Villa the season before that.

The versatile midfielder has made just 13 league appearances for Spurs in his career, though, and looks set to leave the club this summer as Pochettino looks to add winger Sessegnon to his ranks.

Fulham, meanwhile, started off their 2019/20 Championship campaign with a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Barnsley at the weekend.

The Verdict

I think that for the amount of money that Fulham are getting for Sessegnon, bringing in Onomah would be another shrewd piece of business by the Cottagers.

The playmaker is experienced in the Championship, he did well for Sheffield Wednesday last season, and he would add competition to a midfield that is already blessed with talent.

Losing Sessegnon will be a blow for sure, but you would back Parker to reinvest the money to full effect in the final week of the transfer window.
