Tottenham Hotspur are the latest club to join the race for Nottingham Forest striker Ben Brereton, according to the print edition of The Mirror (19th April, page 56) via HITC Sport.

Ben Brereton burst onto the scene in the latter part of this season and the teenage starlet is attracting attention from the biggest clubs in English football.

The 17-year-old, who turns 18 next week, was named as the EFL Apprentice of the Year after an impressive breakthrough campaign for the Reds.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all circling around Brereton and monitoring his contract situation as he is unable to sign professional terms until his 18th birthday.

The England under-19 international would be available on the cheap until he signs a professional deal and Tottenham are the latest club to take an interest in the young prospect.

Brereton has contributed with three goals and two assists since his introduction to the first team in late January.
