Tottenham Hotspur remain in talks with Fulham over a deal for Ryan Sessegnon, but the two clubs are yet to agree a fee for the 19-year-old, according to Ed Aarons of The Guardian.

Spurs have been chasing Sessegnon all summer and are hoping to complete a deal before the transfer deadline on Thursday.

Fulham reportedly value the player at £25million, but Spurs have been unable to meet their valuation so far and have offered midfielder Josh Onomah as part of the deal.

However, with just over a day to go until the transfer deadline, Spurs remain in talks with Fulham, but the two clubs are still yet to agree a fee for the player.

Sessegnon has been a key player for Fulham over the past few seasons and made 35 appearances in the Premier League last term.

The teenager scored 17 goals when the Whites won promotion from the Championship via the play-offs in 2017/18.

Fulham will be hoping to challenge for promotion from the Championship this season following their relegation from the Premier League last term, but lost their opening game of the campaign 1-0 to Barnsley at the weekend.

The Verdict

Sessegnon is in the final year of his contract at Fulham so it would make sense for the club to sell him during this transfer window rather than risk losing him for free next summer.

He's a very talented footballer and even though he didn't quite live up to expectations with Fulham in the Premier League last season, he'd still be a fantastic signing for Spurs.

Mauricio Pochettino is a top manager and should be able to help him realise his full potential.

However, with just over a day to go until the deadline, there needs to be a breakthrough in talks soon for the transfer to happen, so perhaps Fulham will end up accepting slightly less than they were originally hoping for to get the deal done.
