Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly registered their interest in signing Brentford winger Said Benrahma according to The Mirror.

Benrahma is likely to be a player that is attracting significant transfer interest during the summer transfer window after the Bees failed to win promotion into the Premier League.

The Algerian winger scored 17 goals and was on hand to provide ten assists in 46 appearances for Thomas Frank's side in all competitions this term.

But Brentford's season ended in a frustrating manner, as they were beaten by Fulham in the Championship Play-Off Final at Wembley on Tuesday evening.

It means that a number of their key players are likely to be linked with a summer departure from Thomas Frank's side, with clubs already registering their interest.

Benrahma is likely to be one player that is linked with a move to a reputable club, with the winger previously attracting interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.

Spurs are now the latest club to express their eagerness to land his signature ahead of the new season, as Jose Mourinho's side look to improve on a sixth-place finish in the Premier League in the 2019/20 campaign.

The Verdict:

He's definitely ready for the Premier League.

Benrahma has shown that he can perform to a high standard in the Championship whilst with Brentford, and I'm not surprised to hear that he's attracting interest from elsewhere after they fell short in their bid for promotion.

But is he good enough for Tottenham Hotspur? I have my doubts at this moment in time.

Spurs need players that can come straight into the starting XI next season, and I'm not convinced that Benrahma would be used anymore than on a rotational basis in Jose Mourinho's side.
