Vedat Muriqi has insisted that he will remain faithful to Fenerbahce, amid speculation linking the striker with moves to Tottenham Hotspur and West Bromwich Albion.

The Baggies have been linked with a multi-million pound move for the Kosovo international, as Slaven Bilic begins to identify transfer targets ahead of a potential return to the Premier League.

Muriqi has been in hugely impressive form for Fenerbahce this season, scoring 15 goals and making six assists in 28 league matches this term.

The 26-year-old is set to attract interest from a host of high-profile clubs this summer, with West Brom reportedly in the market for the powerful striker.

Speaking to Fanatik, though, Muriqi insists that he will remain faithful to his current club and see out the rest of his contract in Turkey, which isn't set to expire until 2023.

The striker admits, though, that the decision is ultimately down to Fenerbahce above anyone else.

He said: "I’m at Turkey’s biggest club. I can’t talk about the market. I have a three-year contract and everything depends on the club. Fenerbahce gives the decision.

"First comes the request of the club. I’ll do the best to stay until the end of my contract."

Promotion to the Premier League is nowhere near confirmed for West Brom just yet, of course. The Baggies sit second in the Championship, six points clear of third with nine games still left to play this term.

The Verdict

Muriqi looks to be a really exciting player who has been attracting interest from some big clubs across the world.

He looks to be a really lethal marksman and he could give Albion a real focal point as they look to return to England's top-flight as soon as possible.

He will cost big bucks, so Bilic needs to ensure that Muriqi is the right player for the Baggies.
