According to the Mirror, Leicester City are a more likely destination for Jack Grealish than Tottenham this summer.
The Villans need to get themselves some cash this summer after it became clear that they had not planned financially for the worse – i.e. losing the play-off final.
Indeed, though there is no immediate threat of them going under, they do need to work something out and, for many, selling Jack Grealish for a good price would ease things.
After Spurs made a bid yesterday, though, the Mirror is alleging that it’s the Foxes who have more of a chance of bringing him in this summer window.
Grealish is valued at £4.5m by transfermarkt but the player will surely bring in a bigger figure than that if Villa end up having to sell – though they’d obviously rather keep him.
Grealish is a player capable of playing in the Premier League and is the one who’d get Villa the most money of all their stars.
Leicester would appear to be in the pound seats at the moment, then, and it remains to be seen whether they can capitalise or Spurs or someone else can nick in.
