After a disappointing playoff defeat and another season without Premier League football, Aston Villa fans are going to have to deal with another big loss. Villa's best player Jack Grealish has been a target of many big clubs and will most likely switch to a top-tier team, with Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea the main favorites for signing the youngster.

The 22-year old winger/attacking midfielder has been in great form for Aston Villa, attracting the attention from Premier League clubs such as Tottenham. Grealish certainly has a bright future ahead of him, even with all the controversy surrounding him. With Aston Villa losing 1-0 to Fulham in the Championship Playoffs and another year without Premier League football, parting with his favourite club may work out best for Grealish. He's obviously in need of better guidance and a Premier League juggernaut can certainly provide it. On the other hand, Aston Villa's financial woes could be softened with a multi-million deal for their young star.

Grealish has often been in the focus of the media for all the wrong reasons. He can play a great game or two before doing something bad on or off the court. He was hit with a three-match suspension for violent conduct in 2016 after intentionally stomping on an opposing player's leg. This came after numerous off-pitch incidents - in 2015, Grealish was pictured drunk and passed out on a street after partying in Spain. It's clear that the boy has quality, but these incidents may harm his career.

That could all change if Grealish moves to a big-league team. With Tottenham reportedly submitting a £15 million offer that could very well be accepted, Grealish may end up in a team in which he'll either follow the rules or become a benchwarmer. His talents are undeniable – he just needs a bit of support.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has high-hopes for the 22-year old. Bringing him into the squad will solve a few issues Tottenham has in midfield and by playing alongside experienced players Grealish will certainly develop better. However, Tottenham will have to face stern opposition for Grealish's signature from the likes of Chelsea, Leicester City and maybe even Manchester United. It's clear the Grealish's services are in high demand and most experts think it's just a matter of time before he makes the switch to the Premier League.

Aston Villa is looking for a deal worth about £30 million, but they are not opposed to selling Grealish for less. With Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy known as a guy who drives a hard bargain, we're sure that Villa will lower the asking price a bit.

Chelsea has also entered the competition for the highly sought-after attacking midfielder, with reports claiming that the Blues offered even more money than Tottenham. Chelsea's policy is to buy young players and loan them out for experience, although it hasn't worked out in all cases. For now, the odds seem to be in Tottenham's favor and if you ask us, Grealish will fit into Pochettino's side perfectly.
