According to 90MIN, Brighton and Blackburn are on good terms at the moment due to the current loan deals in effect between the two clubs.

Rovers currently have Reda Khadra on loan from the Seagulls, with the 20-year-old appearing in 27 Championship matches so far, scoring four times and assisting on three occasions.

Similarly, Jan Paul van Hecke has also spent the season on loan at Ewood Park from the Seagulls, with the 21-year-old making 25 league appearances so far.

90MIN state that Brighton are offering Khadra on a permanent basis in order to try and get the deal for Dolan done, which backs up previous reports that claimed both Khadra and van Hecke were to be included in a proposed deal.

Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Fulham are also said to be ineterested in Dolan, according to 90MIN.

The Verdict

Given they have two players on loan from them, it's perhaps not surprising to hear that Brighton are in pole position to land Tyrhys Dolan.

There is clearly a good relationship between the two clubs, and reports that Khadra is being offered up could grease the wheels in any proposed deal.

Brighton do face competition though, and ultimately, the players' decision will play a part in the move, too.

Dolan's preferred destination remains unknown, so this will be one to monitor closely with the summer approaching.
