Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have joined the race to sign Birmingham City star Che Adams, according to reports from Teamtalk.

The 22-year old has been in unstoppable form for Garry Monk's men this season, having scored 19 goals and produced three assists for the West Midlands club.

Reports had recently surfaced that Manchester United, Arsenal, Watford and Celtic had all watched the prolific forward in action against Bolton Wanderers last week.

But fresh reports claim that fellow top-flight outfits Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, AFC Bournemouth and Everton have also scouted the striker in recent weeks.

The reported clubs will have to dig deep into their pockets to pursue the signature of the talented attacker however, with Birmingham slapping a £20million price tag on the player, after rejecting a £9million bid from Burnley in January.

Adams, who caught the eye at non-league side Ilkeston Town, impressed for Sheffield United before making a £2million switch to Birmingham in 2016, where he has since been influential in Blues' push for the play-offs.

Garry Monk's men currently sit 9th in the Sky Bet Championship table, seven points off the top six.

The Verdict

It would be money well spent for Adams - £20million can quickly turn into £40million with the form he is in right now.

He is a quick, strong and powrful attacker who has been tremendous for Birmingham this season, and can score goals as well as produce them as he has done this season.

He has plenty of time to grow as a player, and can definitely be the next talent from the EFL to shine in the Premier League.
