Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are set to battle it out to sign Stevenage Borough sensation Ben Kennedy, according to the Mirror.

Arsenal scout Brian McDermott has been watching the 18-year-old who’s only just signed his first professional deal, but has already has interest in him from the likes of Manchester City.

The youngster’s drawn the attention of these clubs after scoring three goals in four appearances for the Sky Bet League Two club.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham are lining up moves for the the youngster, whilst Manchester City are still weighing up a bid.

After being spotted at a youth fixture for Northern Ireland in 2013, Stevenage swooped for Kennedy for him to join their youth set up.

Kennedy made his professional debut as a substitute against Oxford United in January and has made two starts since.

He came off the bench in Boro’s last game which came against Dagenham and Redbridge. The Daggers ran out 1-0 winners, leaving Stevenage fuming after hitting the bar. They’re now 9th in Sky Bet League two having amassed 57 points this season.
