Tottenham have registered an interest in Max Aarons, with the Premier League high flyers amongst the clubs tracking the right-back’s development at Norwich City.

Aarons has been part of a Norwich side that have surprisingly worked their way into automatic promotion contention this season, with his efforts seemingly not going unnoticed.

According to the Sun, Aarons, 18, is on the radar of Spurs, whilst there’s also interest from RB Leipzig in the defender.

After attending recent Norwich fixtures, Spurs are considering a £15m swoop for the player. However, the report states that should Spurs want Aarons in January, there only hope would be signing Aarons and loaning him straight back to Norwich, with Daniel Farke’s side in the thick of a promotion race.

So far this season, Aarons has made 19 league appearances for Farke’s side, scoring two goals and registering a further three assists.

Aarons featured for 90 minutes yesterday, as Norwich completed a stunning Boxing Day comeback against Nottingham Forest.

Two injury time goals from Onel Hernandez secured a point for the Canaries, who battled back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 with the Reds.

The Verdict

Aarons is impressing this season and is one of the most talented right-backs outside the top-flight.

It’s easy to understand why a team like Tottenham are interested in him, as the 18-year-old is already showing great maturity and is looking like he will have a big future.

This could be one to watch in the coming month.
