Derby County have confirmed that midfielder Craig Bryson has signed a pre contract agreement to join Scottish side Aberdeen when his deal at Pride Park expires at the end of the month.

Bryson has spent eight years with Derby having joined the club from another Scottish side Kilmarnock in the summer of 2011.

During his time at Pride Park, the energetic midfielder made 276 appearances and scored 42 goals for The Rams, and was twice named the club's Player of the Season, during the 2011/12 and 2013/14 campaigns.

Derby had entered into discussions with Bryson over a new contract at the end of the season, which ended with the disappointment of a Championship play-off final defeat to Aston Villa at Wembley, but the 32-year-old has instead decided to make the move back to his home country.

Taking to Twitter to react to news of Bryson's departure, a number of Derby fans were keen to pay tribute to their long serving midfielder.

Here, we take a look at what some of them had to say.
