It has been a whirlwind year for Jamie Shackleton at Leeds United, with the midfielder surely confident of making himself a regular feature at Elland Road under Marcelo Bielsa.  

Leeds might’ve missed out on promotion to the Premier League last season, but for Shackleton, it’ll have been a year to remember.

The 19-year-old made a debut in midfield against Derby County back in August, before finishing the campaign as a starter in Leeds’ play-off semi-final defeat to the Rams.

He registered two assists in 21 Championship outings, showing his class in midfield and at right-back under the guidance of Bielsa.

Now, the teenager has received a call-up to the England u20 squad this summer, with international recognition heading the way of one of Elland Road’s brightest talents on the back of the play-offs.
