Barnsley centre-back Ethan Pinnock has completed a move to fellow Championship side Brentford for a fee believed to be in the region of £3m.

The 26-year-old was outstanding for Daniel Stendel's side last season as they won promotion from League One, with his performances earning him a place in the Team of the Year.

So, his departure will be a big blow for the Tykes who have already lost two key figures from last season too, as keeper Adam Davies and centre-back Liam Lindsay joined Stoke City.

The latter formed a formidable partnership with Pinnock in defence, with the Yorkshire outfit keeping 21 clean sheets on their way to promotion.

Therefore, it's no surprise to see that most Barnsley fans are not at all happy that the former Forest Green Rovers man has followed the pair in moving on from Oakwell.
