Tosin Adarabioyo issues promising Blackburn Rovers social update amid EFL break

Blackburn Rovers will be hoping that they can keep their play-off hopes alive when they return to action later this year.

Tony Mowbray’s side are currently sat tenth in the Championship table, and will fancy their chances of forcing themselves into the top-six this season before this year’s campaign reaches a conclusion.

Rovers are just three points adrift of the play-off places in the second tier, but have been forced to wait to play competitively in recent weeks, with the off-the-field crisis calling an abrupt halt to fixtures across the UK.

One player that has played his part in Blackburn’s impressive season to date is Tosin Adarabioyo, who has established himself as a regular in the team after signing on loan from Premier League giants Manchester City.

The central defender has made 28 appearances in total this season, and will be keen to play his part in their efforts to finish inside the top-six this term.

Adarabioyo took to Instagram recently to reveal that he is still working hard, which is likely to please the club’s supporters during this break from competitive action.

The break from action came at the right time for Blackburn, with Adarabioyo and his team-mates being winless in their last four league games, which saw them lose vital ground on the play-off chasing pack in the Championship.

Which of these summer signings did not make their Blackburn debut in the 2-1 defeat to Charlton on the opening day of this season?

The Verdict:

He’ll be hoping he can hit the ground running when they return to action.

It’s tough for players at times in terms of training, as they aren’t in their usual environment, whilst also not having competitive action to take part in.

Adarabioyo has impressed me in this year’s campaign with Blackburn Rovers, and I think he’s more than capable of making the step up to playing Premier League football next season.

That could be with Tony Mowbray’s side though, as the Lancashire-based side are still in with a shout of finishing inside the top-six.
