Blackburn Rovers’ on-loan defender Tosin Adarabioyo has issued a show a fighting talk as his side look to return back to the form that saw them push towards the play-off places.

Tony Mowbray’s side have been very impressive this season as they consolidate their place in the Championship and continue to look up the table rather than down it, as they currently sit six points outside the play-off places after 31 league games.

The last two games haven’t been the best for the Rovers as they dropped five points out of a possible six after being pegged back by Middlesbrough at the Riverside before falling to a narrow defeat at home to high-flying Fulham on Saturday.

Tonight, they have the chance to put this right as they gear up to face Hull City at Ewood Park and will be fancying their chances with the Tigers’ confidence very low after the January transfer window was not very kind to them, losing their two key attackers.

On-loan centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo took to Twitter to deliver a determined message to fans ahead of the clash against the side two places and four points below them:

The hosts’ loss to the Cottagers at the weekend was their first at home in the league since August when the fell to newly-promoted Luton Town.

The verdict

Blackburn could do with a win to get their outside shot at the play-offs back on track, as they could potentially be three points off the top six with a win.

Hull might be there for the taking at the moment after losing Jarrod Bowen and Kamil Grosicki, but new man Mallik Wilks opened his account on Saturday and will be hungry for more.

If Blackburn are harbouring any hopes of the play-offs this season, these are the results they need to pick up to avoid stretching the winless run to three games and beyond.

Adarabioyo could be in line for his eighth start in a row for Blackburn as he settles in from his loan away from Man City, after failing to make a consistent impact at West Brom last season.
