The new 2014/15 season is now in full swing and everyone's getting that little bit more excited about how their clubs season is going to pan out, especially us here at Football League World.

So we decided to take a look at the top 6 midfielder's in the Sky Bet Championship who we think will have a storming season. This list is in no particular order so lets get under way.

Name: Tom Cairney

Position: CM

Age: 23

I personally think it's only right to start with one of the best brightest prospects in English football, Tom Cairney.  The Nottingham born midfielder may have gone unnoticed by many last season but the former Leeds United youngster had a

brilliant first season at Blackburn Rovers. He was signed in January 2014 from Premier League outfit Hull City after initially signing on a 6 month loan at the beginning of last season. Not only was he a great coup for the club, they paid a minimal fee of just £500k which is a bargain as a quality central midfielder is hard to come by. The player was at the heart of everything last season and he was rewarded by receiving Rovers player of the season award. The club had a stuttering start but finished the season just one point of the playoffs which is a position the fans can be proud of, due to their recent turmoil over the past couple of years. Cairney and his club will be hoping to go to the next level and challenger for a place in the Barclay's Premier League.

Name: Bakory Sako

Position: LM

Age: 26

before his season was cut short due to injury, in which his club was relegated. Due to his form their was a lot of potential sutiors but Wolves managed to keep their man, which was a very crucial elemnt of why they got Promoted back to the Sky Bet Championsip. The winger netted an impressive 12 goals in 40 games. With power, pace, aggression and a keen eye for goal, Wolves faced a challenge to keep Sako this season as manager Kenny Jacket was expecting the phone to call all summer for his services but the side managed to keep his main asset. Anyway, make sure your keep an eye out for his name as he is ready to rip up the Championship once again in this upcoming season.

Name: Callum McManaman

Position: Winger

Age: 23

Everyone will remember Callum McManaman because of his form in the second half of the 2103/14 season which saw Wigan

Athletic win the FA cup but unfortunetly they also were relegated. He put a man of the match performance against Manchester City to help Wigan triumph. His form was rewarded with an England under-21 call up for the Euro's in Isreal but he was struck with an injury three days after his call up which ruled him out. Even though relegation occurred, fans where eager to see the attacker in action the following season but he had an injury stricken campaign. Despite Wigan's indifferent start to the2014/15 season McManaman has shown what he is all about after netting four goals in five appearances.

Name: Will Hughes

Position: CM

Age:19

To think Will Hughes is only 19 years old, yes 19 is quite astonishing. He is a player that everyone would love t

Over the past couple of years he has seen Premier League big boy's Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United all have an interest in him. Despite of this interest Hughes extended his contract to the end of the 2017/18 season. Hughes has great strengths as his passing and technical ability is sound but to reach the next level he has to improve his pace and physical strength. Its going to be a really exciting season for this young man as he looks to lead Derby into the top flight.

Name: Nathan Redmond

Position: RM

I thoroughly believe that if Norwich City manage to keep their star winger fit and in form for their season in the Sky Bet Championship, they will see an instant return to the Premier League. Although there is a possibility the winger is a raw talent, he needs nurturing by his club so that he can push to the next stage of his career. His has Pace, agility, skill and flair but like many similar players, they lack the end product. Norwich was signed from cash strapped Birmingham City for a fee of £3.2 million, a price that is impressive for a player of his potential in today's market. It will not be surprise if a club comes in for him this summer but manager Nigel Adams has expressed that he doesn't need to sell. The England under-21 international only managed one goal in 34 premier league games but playing in a lower league, might aid the player to improve on his weaknesses.

Name: Matt Ritchie

Position: RM

Age:24

Ritchie has had another brilliant season

Matt Ritchie endured a really impressive campaign last season for Bournemouth. The south west England club was predicted by to go back down to Sky Bet League One by many pundits last season but due to inspiration from players like Matt Ritchie, the club finished an impressive 10th. The right winger had his best season yet in his short career notching nine goals in 30 games, if not been injured he would have scored a lot more. Ritchie has notched up two Player of The Year awards in League One and Two, many pundits say he could have racked up his third if he had not been injured. The player seems to have a lot of offensive quality, pace, skill, flair, crossing and end product which will get him far in his career. Under Eddie Howe's philosophy of signing young players with potential, this acquisition has proved deadly. The player only cost £500,000. The player and The Cherries will be looking for the next level of reaching the playoffs ad a mixture of determination, graft and quality Bournemouth will make it.
