Sheffield United have completed the signing of centre back Charlie Goode on loan from Brentford, the Championship club have announced.

Goode joined Brentford from League Two side Northampton Town in the summer of 2020, but made just eight league appearances for the Bees last season, as they won promotion to the Premier League.

The 26-year-old has again struggled for game time during the current campaign, featuring just six times in the top-flight for Thomas Frank's side.

As a result, Goode has now completed a loan move to Sheffield United, joining the Blades on a temporary basis until the end of this season.

That move ought to ensure that Sheffield United manager Paul Heckingbottom has options at his disposal to continue to use his three at the back system at Bramall Lane.

Following his move, Goode becomes Sheffield United's second signing of the January window, after goalkeeper Adam Davies' permanent move from Stoke.

Taking to Twitter to react to news of Goode's arrival, plenty of the club's fans were keen to give their thoughts on their latest signing.

Here, we take a look at what some of those Blades supporters had to say.
