With the recent global developments changing day by day, many members of the public are encouraging social distancing.

With football suspended until at least 30th April, some players and managers are leading the way in encouraging people to take precautionary steps during these unprecedented times.

Last night, Leeds United's Stuart Dallas became the latest footballer to have his say on the current circumstances, encouraging people to stay at home and avoid social gatherings in order to stay safe.

Dallas has arguably been one of Leeds' stand-out players of this season, appearing in all 37 of the Whites' Championship games, scoring three goals for Marcelo Bielsa's men.

The 28-year-old has won plaudits from many Leeds fans this season for his versatility and leadership shown as Leeds look to end their 16-year exile from the Premier League.

Filmed in a kitchen and talking in a frank tone, the Northern Ireland international outlined what people need to do and why they should do it during the current global situation.

After posting the video on his Twitter page on Sunday morning, Dallas received a lot of encouraging words from Leeds fans and plenty of other figures from across the footballing community.
