Leeds United captain Liam Cooper took to Twitter on Thursday to reveal the FA had told him he had used bad language in front of a ball boy during United's defeat to Fulham in December.

United lost the match 2-1 at Craven Cottage and it is fair to say some Leeds fans would have probably forgotten all about that game until their captain's post on Thursday evening.

In his message, Cooper revealed: "The FA have brought it to my attention that during injury time in our game with Fulham in December I used some bad language in front of a ball boy."

Cooper then uses the rest of the message to explain the situation and to apologise to the ball boy, revealing he has also sent over a shirt for the boy.

Some Leeds fans were quick to flood Cooper with replies of support and praising their captain, and are seemingly pleased with the responsibility Cooper takes the role of captaining Leeds United.
