Barnsley's survival bid in the Championship was boosted as they ran out narrow 1-0 winners over relegation rivals Middlesbrough at Oakwell on Saturday.

Conor Chaplin scored the only goal of the game on the day, as the Tykes moved to within five points of safety, with 12 games remaining of this year's campaign.

The win over Boro means that it is now back-to-back wins for Gerhard Struber's side, and they'll certainly feel as though they can continue that impressive run of form as the season progresses.

Chaplin has been key to their upturn in results, and the goal against Jonathan Woodgate's side means that he now has 12 goals to his name in all competitions this term.

The forward took to Twitter following the win, and labelled the victory as 'massive'.

Plenty of Barnsley supporters were quick to respond to Chaplin's message, as they praised the 23-year-old for his performance on the day.
