The Championship has some of the best support in the country, with it being one of the most attended divisions in Europe despite it being second tier football.

Even with the ticket prices at an all time high the fans are still flooding in with away support being the most impressive.

In terms of away support, the Championship mixes with the Premier League, with big sides like Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday having bigger and far more vocal away support than most Premier League sides.

The recent price cap on way tickets in the Premier League will hopefully funnel its way down to the Football League, with some tickets being sold at ridiculous prices with some fans having to pay over £40.

Hopefully the price cap would see a big increase in numbers as the Championship is excellent at giving good sized allocations, ensuring away fans often contributing to the atmosphere at a match more than the home fans do.

Sides like Middlesbrough, Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday are all fairly big clubs but they do fail to sell out their home grounds, but they always sell out their away allocations without fail.

Also they create a brilliant atmosphere but this article is looking at the negative side of away support.

You can sell out all your tickets every week but if you don't make any noise then what is the point, your job is to urge your players on and making noise is the best way to do that.

This takes into account only noise, for example some of the fans that come to the Riverside are small numbers but make a lot of noise.

Here in the opinion of FLW's Michael Hasan are the top FIVE most quiet away supporters in the Championship.......

MK Dons

Perhaps not a big surprise is the inclusion of MK Dons.

They have the smallest average way support so far this season, as well as tiny home support.

They are blessed with one of the finest stadiums in the league but don't come close to filling it, and they rarely sell out an way allocation.

They were only recently established so their fan base is still small despite all of the success they are having.

As well as having poor away support they also make very little noise.

It is mainly known for just being a good away day at the MK Dons as they often offer large away allocations.

Bolton Wanderers

Bolton Wanderers fans

They can't really be blamed considering the current plight of their club but it still must be said that Bolton's away following is poor.

They had solid home followings in the Prem but even then their away support was not very vocal.

They are currently in a lot of debt and sit bottom of the Championship some way adrift of survival.

They are in a difficult situation and their manager Neil Lennon left, so they do have reasons for the poor home and away support.

Fulham

fulhammm

Fulham used to be an established Premier League club with good home attendances, but the home and away crowds have never been vocal.

Since their relation to the Championship, the chairman has invested heavily to try and get them back but this has misfired.

They rarely sell out an allocation unless it's a local derby against Brentford and they have very quiet fans.

The home crowds are silent too but their away crowds are some of the worst in the division.

Ipswich

Ipswich fans

Ipswich are one of the more successful sides in the league and find themselves consistently competing for a top six spot.

Just last season they suffered a humbling defeat in the play-offs to Norwich but again this season they are in the top eight competing for the play-offs.

They took fans in good voice to the Norwich game but other than that their away support is disappointing for a club doing well.

Often they bring less than 1000 and make very little noise.

Rotherham

The small Yorkshire club are another side who barely make any noise at away games.

They are a small club so this is understandable.

They make little noise unless it's a local derby against Leeds or Sheffield Wednesday.

The Millers' away support is not consistent and they rarely take over 1000 fans outside of Yorkshire.

Any quieter than this? Do you agree with the five? Leave thoughts and opinions below in the comments!
