Derby County forward Mason Bennett has apologised to Rams fans on Twitter after a video emerged of him shouting obscenities as he drove past Pride Park, which has drawn an interesting reaction from many Leeds United fans.

The 23-year-old has tested the patience of the East Midlands club this term as he was one of the players involved in the drink incident that led to Richard Keogh's departure.

Bennett fell out of favour following that saga and was sent out on loan to Millwall in January.

The forward has found himself in trouble again after a video emerged on social media showing the Derby loanee shouting "f****** burn" as he drove past Pride Park.

Bennett took to Twitter yesterday to apologise and provide some explanation on the situation.

The rivalry between Leeds and Derby has intensified over the past year or so, following the Spygate saga and their meeting in the play-off semi-finals last season.

Has Kalvin Phillips done these 12 things at Leeds United?

Bennett's apology certainly seems to have caught the attention of many of the Elland Road faithful, who took to Twitter to voice their thoughts.
