West Brom maintained their fine recent form by grinding out a 2-1 victory against Sheffield Wednesday at The Hawthorns yesterday.

Albion were not at their best against the Owls, although that was perhaps understandable given key duo Romaine Sawyers and Jake Livermore were suspended, however they still managed to pick up all three points.

A late Charlie Austin penalty secured the win but perhaps the key moment came in the 74th minute when Gareth Barry came on.

The experienced midfielder helped the Baggies get a real foothold in the game with his ability and composure on the ball and the late pressure they applied resulted in the goal.

That was Barry's first game for Albion since rejoining this season and he will hope he can force his way into Slaven Bilic's team on a regular basis now.
