If Leeds United do eventually get promoted to the Premier League this season, there can't be many observers who could say it is not deserved, considering the number of suspensions and injuries to key personnel in Marcelo Bielsa's streamlined squad.

The latest setback is the injury to top goal-scorer Kemar Roofe who is sidelined with a knee ligament injury picked up in the win over Swansea City.

Despite initial fears by fans that the 26-year-old's injury may be season ending, it is reported that the club believe that Roofe will play again, therefore not ruling out an April return.

So how big a boost will it be for Leeds if Roofe is able to play again this season?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

"What a boost this would be.

"Marcelo Bielsa will need his key players fit as soon as possible, and Roofe is definitely one of them and Leeds need his goals to keep them in the hunt for promotion.

"The sooner he’s back, the better."

Gary Hutchinson

“Too little, too late.

“The league will be won or lost in March.

“Let’s hope Bamford and Brown are up to the job.”

Jay Taylor

“It is, but it could be too little too late by then.

“Leeds are in third at present, and without Roofe, they could drop further away from the top two.

“Alternatively, they could well be going great guns and not miss the striker.

“The boost of his return will depend on how the club are faring at the time of his comeback.”
