Many Ipswich Town fans have taken to Twitter to react to Andre Dozzell’s latest performance for the club during their 1-0 defeat to Fleetwood Town in League One.
The midfielder, who is a product of the club’s youth academy, was handed the opportunity to prove himself in last night’s clash with the Trawlermen by Tractor Boys manager Paul Lambert.
However, instead of leading his side to a much-needed victory at Portman Road, Dozzell produced a mixed display in-front of his own supporters.
Whilst the 20-year-old did illustrate some signs of promise against Fleetwood, he couldn’t prevent Ipswich from slipping to yet another damaging defeat in the third-tier.
Ched Evans scored what turned to be the only goal of the game in the 40th minute for the Trawlermen as he latched onto a pass from Barrie McKay before firing past goalkeeper Tomas Holy.
Following the break, Freddie Sears went close to levelling up proceedings for Ipswich as his effort was deflected over the crossbar.
Jon Nolan and Tyreece Campbell were then both denied by Fleetwood shot-stopper Alex Cairns as the visitors held on to seal all three-points.

Here are some of the best responses from the club’s supporters…
Dozzell had some nice touches and passes but is too lightweight for professional men's football, he's off at the end of the season anyway #ITFC

Positives – Dozzell.
Negatives – everything else associated to Ipswich Town Football Club. #itfc

Took me 35 minutes to realise dozzell was actually on the pitch. Bloke offers nothing, overhyped. Too light weight. Get him gone in the summer.

Dozzell was MOTM today, can’t see anyone else near his performance for the full game, Sears/Simpson were good but didn’t get enough game time #itfc

Must win game. Starts dozzell who hasn’t played in a month, McGavin who is untested, Keane up front on his own. Paul lamberts brain is absolutely massive

Only positive is Simpson looks good and dozzell played well

I am seeing so much negativity regrading Dozzell.. Why?
He was at the heart of every chance we had. Tried to play the ball forward and with purpose..
'He walks off at the end'…the bloke was clearly injured from the 50/50 with Whelen (I think) moments before the end…#itfc

stuck with dozzell since he broke through but lost patience now, absolute ghost

Lamberts team tonight has been picked out of a hat. He knows this has to stop. Bringing in Dozzell and McGavin from the cold to ignite the crowd its just not working! Rotation has killed us, look at Fleetwood, same team each week everyone knows there job #itfc
