Leeds United are back top of the Championship and have one man to thank by-and-large for their return to the summit of the league.

Pablo Hernandez once again rolled back the years as he has done so many times this season to help the Whites to a comfortable win over struggling Reading.

Mateusz Klich opened the scoring for the away side at the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday evening after just 14 minutes.

That settled any semblance of nerves from the team in yellow, before Hernandez struck a stunning double in 21 minutes to give Leeds an unassailable lead going into the break.

The brace lifted the 33-year-old to ten goals for the season having registered 11 assists, too.

In the twilight of his career, the Spaniard is having his most prolific of his career, having already scored more goals and registered more assists than in any of his previous campaigns.

And after his performance in the win, there was a lot of love on social media for the Leeds talisman’s performance in the win over the Royals.
