Tony Pulis has revealed Middlesbrough will be on the lookout for more new signings before the season starts but admitted they may have to be patient.

Boro have had a productive summer so far, bringing in Aden Flint and Paddy McNair as two big-money arrivals to an already talented squad.

And, Pulis told the Northern Echo that he will be on the lookout for further arrivals, with a striker thought to be the priority.

"We need to get one or two players in, that’s important, but we’ve got to make sure they are the right players. We’d like to bring one or two others in if they are available and if we can."

"Sometimes you have to wait a little bit and see what happens and see what spins around. We’ll see how it goes – we’ve got three weeks to get a few deals done."

The Teesside outfit have been linked with moves for Sam Vokes and Martyn Waghorn in recent weeks as Pulis looks to add to his strikeforce.

The Verdict

Having finished in the top six last season Boro didn't need to make wholesale changes this summer, instead focusing on quality.

The two additions so far have been very good but they do need another player in the final third.

Pulis recognises that and he's prepared to be patient to land the right man which is the right approach instead of panicking.
