Tony Mowbray believes that Norwich City will go for the win when they host his Blackburn Rovers side at Carrow Road on Saturday evening, despite a draw being enough to guarantee The Canaries promotion to the Premier League.

Daniel Farke's side sit six points clear of the play-offs with just two games of the season, meaning a point would secure Norwich a return to the Premier League for the first time in three years.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of Rovers' trip to Carrow Road this weekend Mowbray claimed that he expects both sides to go "all out for win" in the same way that they did in the reverse fixture at Ewood Park.

That reverse fixture in December saw Norwich take a 1-0 win thanks to Teemu Pukki's 85th minute strike.

The Canaries could also lift the Championship title on Saturday, but that would first require second placed Sheffield United to slip up against already relegated bottom side Ipswich at Bramall Lane earlier in the day.

The Verdict

A few weeks ago, Blackburn couldn't buy a win and Norwich would have been relishing the prospect of this being the game to seal their top flight return.

After four wins in a row however, Blackburn pose a different proposition, and with safety secured and nothing to lose, they could still be a threat to Norwich, who will surely be determined not to take the promotion race into the final day.
