Tony Mowbray has been handed a major injury boost ahead of his team's clash with Swansea City on Tuesday as Blackburn look to build on a positive result at the weekend.

Rovers earned a shock three points as they beat promotion chasing Leeds 2-1 at Ewood Park courtesy of goals from Darragh Lenihan and Danny Graham.

But, Graham and Harrison Reed were both substituted midway through the second-half of the win over Leeds, and Mowbray admitted that the pair were struggling with injuries during the game.

Mowbray was sweating over the fitness of the pair, with their game against Swansea possibly coming too soon for them.

But, he has received positive news regarding the duo, who he now expects to be fit in time for their clash against Graham Potter's side.

"Generally we are looking okay - Danny and Harrison will train today. They had a light session yesterday with a cool down, stretching, getting looked at," Mowbray confirmed to iFollow Rovers.

"Whatever team we put out, whoever plays, we’ll still be competitive."

Mowbray was full of praise for Reed in particular, who he stated had integrated fantastically well with the group.

"Harrison came really as a versatile footballer who can play in central midfield, wide or at right back as cover for Ryan Nyambe.

"He's forced his way in the starting XI through his work rate, through his athleticism, his tenacity.

"He's evolved. We're glad he's here, he's integrated fantastically well with the group. They like his personality and I hope he's enjoying his football with us."

The Verdict

Graham and Reed have been a crucial part to Blackburn's success this season.

With the side outside of the play-off places only on goal difference, they are proving to be the surprise package this season.

If they are fit for their game against Swansea, then I can see them putting up a good fight against Graham Potter's side and could possibly travel back to Blackburn with all three points that they will hope can push them up the table.
