Tony Mowbray has confirmed he has made a decision on his future, although he won't reveal what his plans are until the end of the season.

The Blackburn chief has done a good job at Ewood Park over the years, with Rovers now in the hunt for promotion through the play-offs, as they trail sixth place by three points with two games to play.

Whilst that's the only focus for Mowbray now, there are doubts about his future due to his current deal expiring.

And, speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph, the former West Brom boss confirmed he knows what his next move will be, even though he wouldn't tell the public just yet.

"I’ve decided. I’m not sure I’ve had my work-life balance right. I commit a lot of time to this football club, away from my family and my kids, but I need to address that pretty soon.

"I’m a private person, I’m a very proud person, I keep things to myself and my main job is to try and prepare a team to beat Bournemouth on Saturday if we can."

The verdict

You can understand why Mowbray doesn't want to talk about his future just yet as it may serve as a distraction ahead of what is a massive game against Bournemouth this weekend.

His only focus will be on trying to get the team into the play-off places, so all talk about his future can wait until the campaign has finished.

Some may feel an exit is inevitable given his comments but that could all change if Rovers do seal a return to the Premier League!
