Tomlin in, 23-year-old axed: The Cardiff City XI Warnock should select against Sunderland on Saturday

It’s been a good start to the season for Cardiff City in the Championship but recent results may be suggesting that that is going to become harder to carry on.

Of course, there was no way that the Bluebirds were going to continue on their sensational winning streak all season but they are now on a run of two points from three games and so that needs to be addressed.

Certainly, then, they’ll be looking to get back onto the winning trail away at struggling Sunderland this week and Neil Warnock will be thinking that a win there will surely underline their promotion credentials.

Though Sunderland are in poor form, they do have quality waiting to be unlocked and so Warnock will surely see this as a key game.

We’ve been thinking, then, about who could play for the Bluebirds this weekend and think that Kenneth Zohore should come out of the side as he struggles for goals.

Indeed, that might come as a surprise given just how talented he is but he is not in form in front of goal and a game on the bench might do him good – allowing Lee Tomlin to come in.
