Heading into Friday evening's FA Cup tie, Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to bounce back from their 5-0 hammering at the hands Blackburn Rovers last weekend.

The Owls face QPR at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium in the fifth round of the competition tomorrow night, having beaten Premier League side Brighton 1-0 in the previous round.

In the Championship, Garry Monk's men have had less success recently, losing four of their last five games.

On the other hand, their hosts will be high in confidence fresh from their win against Leeds United in West London five days ago.

Mark Warburton's side have been an interesting proposition this season, scoring the second most goals in the Championship but conceding the most.

That record, and last weekend's tie against the Whites, indicate that we could be in for an exciting evening at the KPF on Friday.

With that in mind, here is the XI that Monk is likely to go with against the R's...

Cameron Dawson appears to be the man in possession of the number one jersey for Wednesday at present and it would be harsh to attribute him with too much of the blame for last weekend's hammering.

With that in mind, Monk will likely opt for the 24-year-old against QPR in what could be a busy evening for the Englishman.

Warburton's side have been free-scoring this season and even without the departed Nahki Wells, the likes of Ebere Eze, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and Jordan Hugill are likely to be lively, to say the least.

Dawson is going to need some help from his defensive line and for tomorrow's FA Cup tie that will likely include captain Tom Lees, returning to the starting XI to partner Dominic Iorfa.

Monk has suggested that Liam Palmer is on his way back but not ready yet, which means we'll likely see Osaze Urhoghide and Morgan Fox line up at full-back.

Barry Bannan in the holding midfield role clearly did not work against Blackburn and with the dangers that QPR can pose, the Owls boss will likely look to shore things up by bringing in Sam Hutchinson.

Massimo Luongo has had his red card rescinded and you'd imagine that Monk will be keen to throw him in against his former side alongside Bannan in central midfield.

Wednesday will likely have to fight fire with fire at the KPF, so a return for Kadeem Harris makes a lot of sense, with Jacob Murphy on the other flank to give Adam Reach a rest.

A clip emerged recently that showed Steven Fletcher on his way back but he is far from ready yet, meaning Monk will have to go with one of his other options.

The Wednesday boss has generally opted to start Sam Winnall and introduce Atdhe Nuhiu as an impact sub but with QPR missing two central defenders due to injury he may throw the latter, who can be a real nuisance, on from the start.

QPR's torrid defensive form would suggest there may be goals for the big man.
