Derby County were held to a 1-1 home draw with Fulham at Pride Park on Friday night, with the Rams failing to gain ground on the Championship play-off places.

The Rams created plenty of chances in the first-half, with Matt Clarke and Tom Lawrence forcing fine saves out of Marek Rodak with two dangerous efforts inside the area.

Wayne Rooney put Derby ahead after half-time, converting from the penalty spot with a 'Panenka', but Aleksandar Mitrovic found an equaliser with a side-footed volley on 71 minutes.

Tom Lawrence created a huge chance for Derby in the latter stages of the contest, but his low cross was met by a miscued effort from Florian Jozefzoon, as Curtis Davies and Craig Forsyth also went close.

Lawrence did create another chance for himself with only two minutes on the clock, which was very similar to the chance he expertly converted in the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield last week.

Derby sit 12th in the league table after last night's draw, with the rest of the Championship playing this afternoon.

The Verdict

I saw this in the flesh and, well, it was a poor effort that led to several laughs.

It didn't look like the ball would land and would only keep on flying, and even he couldn't resist a little chuckle.

In all seriousness, Lawrence had a good game on Friday night and starting to play like the player we all know he is, which is great for Derby fans to see.
