Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney and winger Anthony Knockaert have both taken to social media to react to the stats from their 4-0 win over Millwall in the Championship last night.

Scott Parker's side continued their encouraging start to the season with a magnificent team performance and a thoroughly convincing victory at Craven Cottage - thanks to goals from Knockaert, Ivan Cavaleiro and Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Cavaleiro gave the hosts a deserved lead after 15 minutes with a spectacular effort from just inside the box, before setting up Knockaert to head in his first Fulham goal.

Mitrovic increased their advantage with his third goal in as many games with a second-half penalty, before Cairney set up Cavaleiro, who rounded the Millwall goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski to complete the scoring in fine style.

Fulham completely dominated the game and thoroughly deserved their victory, which sees them move up to third in the Championship table on goal difference.

According to Opta, Fulham had a remarkable 84.5% possession and completed 934 passes, the highest in the Championship since Opta started collecting full stats from the second tier in 2013/14.

Cairney and Knockaert have both reacted to the stats on social media by posting messages on their respective Instagram stories.

The Verdict

It was an outstanding performance from Fulham last night and the stats from the game show just how much of a dominant display it was. It was a magnificent team performance and they were simply unplayable at times.

Fulham have got some very talented players and have got arguably the biggest attacking threat in the Championship with Knockaert, Cavaleiro and Mitrovic in their side.

They're always going to be capable of scoring goals and if they continue to play like that, they've got every chance of challenging for automatic promotion this season.

After a disappointing start to the season against Barnsley, Fulham have now recorded three consecutive victories and will go into their next game against Nottingham Forest at the weekend full of confidence.
