Queens Park Rangers full-back Todd Kane has sent a message ahead of Friday night's showdown with West London rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Kane, who signed for the club in the summer, will be hoping to start at right-back for the clash took to Instagram on Wednesday evening to give his thoughts in the build up to what could be a significant moment in the season.

Writing alongside a photograph of himself, he said simply: "Ready for Friday night under the lights."

Since his arrival from Chelsea, Kane has racked up 11 appearances but is yet to register his first goal or assist for his new club.

QPR fans will be hoping he and his teammates are indeed ready to bounceback from what was a disappointing draw with Middlesbrough at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium before the international break.

A sloppy pass from Nahki Wells allowed Britt Assombalonga to steal in an net in the second half and Mark Warburton will have been doing his utmost to ensure similar errors are not made at Craven Cottage.

One significant boost for the R's will be the absence of Fulham danger man Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The Serbian, who has scored 12 goals already this season, picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against Birmingham and will subsequently be suspended for the Friday evening showdown.

The verdict

This will be a huge test for QPR but one I think they can come out on top in.

They should take a lot of confidence from Mitrovic's absence and should also not be scared to test what has been at times a leaky Fulham defence.

With the likes of Nahki Wells, Ebere Eze and Jordan Hugill at their disposal, they will always have a chance.
