Football League World's Sheffield Wednesday fan pundit Edward Marsh has revealed he is not concerned about losing anyone during the January transfer window.

The Owls are eighth as things stand–two places and three points outside the play-off places.

The South Yorkshire club have been really impressive since Garry Monk took over in September but it has looked in recent weeks as if the new manager bounce is starting to wear off a bit.

With the turn of the year and the opening of the transfer market less than two months away, you feel that Wednesday could do with adding some reinforcements in the new year to help their promotion chances.

However, the club have been charged with misconduct in relation to financial fair play and their sale of Hillsborough, which may mean they are unlikely to get much business done in January.

Financial issues may worry Wednesday fans for multiple reasons–not only would they be unlikely to sign any new players but they may also be at risk of selling their more valuable players during the window.

Marsh indicated that is not something he is worried about, particularly because their leading performers are relatively new arrivals.

He explained: "To be honest, I don’t see anyone of real value leaving this January. Adam Reach has been average, for his standard, this season so I can’t see him going anywhere.

"Our star performers Dominic Iorfa and Julian Borner are still very new to the club, so to sell them would be stupid."

Wednesday face a tough test in their first game after the international break as they travel to the Hawthorns to play league leaders West Bromwich Albion.
