‘Tinpot’, ‘No surprise’ – Many QPR fans aim digs at Brentford amidst fixture delay

QPR beat west London rivals Brentford in a FIFA 20 friendly last night and many fans of the R’s have aimed digs at the Griffin Park outfit.

All EFL games have been suspended until the 30th of April due to the Covid-19 outbreak, though at this point it seems impossible to predict how long the delay will last.

Clubs have had to be creative to keep fans entertained while the fixtures are suspended and a global FIFA 20 tournament was launched last week.

Ahead of the round of 64 tomorrow, the two west London clubs faced off against each other in a ‘friendly’ derby.

QPR and Brentford have met twice in the Championship this season and both games have ended the same way – a 3-1 win for the Bees.

This time, however, the R’s exacted some revenge as they inflicted a 4-1 hammering on their west London rivals.

Both sides are still in the ‘Ultimate Quaranteam’ competition, so we could see another meeting between them very soon.
