Norwich City fans are certainly in high-spirits at this moment in time, with the Canaries earning a surprise promotion to the Premier League this season.

Daniel Farke's men have been hugely impressive throughout this year's campaign, and were fully deserving of a timely return back into the top-flight.

Norwich will come up against one of their former players in the Premier League, in James Maddison, who has been in excellent for this season.

Norwich's Timm Klose has hilariously ripped into Maddison for his physical statistics on Instagram, after he was named in the FIFA Premier League Team of the Season.

Maddison will certainly feel hard done by to not have made the England senior squad, as he has been key to the upturn in form in his Leicester side under Brendan Rodgers.

With seven goals and seven assists to his name this season, it's clear to see that Maddison has been impressive, and he'll be hoping to build on these showings heading into next year's campaign.

Whereas Klose has certainly played his part in Norwich's title-winning season under Daniel Farke, with the Swiss international making 31 league appearances in total.

He'll be hoping to cement his place in the starting XI for the Canaries next season, where they will be battling to retain their status as a Premier League club.

The Verdict:

It'll be interesting to see the pair face off next season, that's for sure!

What Maddison may lack in strength, he certainly makes up for in attacking flair and creativity going forward, which make him a real threat to any opposition defence on his day.

Klose has a real battle on his hands to keep Norwich in the Premier League, and I fear that a lack of serious investment will see them heading straight back into the Championship.
