Derby County duo Krystian Bielik and Jordon Ibe are set to feature in an Under-23s match tomorrow afternoon, as the pair edge closer to making a first-team return.

Bielik - who joined from Arsenal for a reported £10million last summer - sustained an anterior ligament injury in a clash with Tottenham Hotspur Under-23s in January.

The Poland international is since yet to make an appearance for the Rams, but has recently revealed that he is "nearly there" in terms of making a full recovery.

Ibe joined Derby in the summer as a free-agent, after searching for a new club following his release by AFC Bournemouth.

The winger - who went some time without playing football - is yet to make an appearance in his second spell with the Rams, as he continues to build fitness and match sharpness.

Both Bielik and Ibe are set to feature for Derby's Under-23 side tomorrow afternoon, though. As per Derbyshire Live, the pair are penciled in to face Southampton.

The first-team, meanwhile, travel to the City Ground tomorrow night to face Nottingham Forest, in what is shaping up to be a massive game for both sides after disappointing starts to the season.

The Verdict

This is a great boost for Derby.

The Rams have been lacking in numbers since the start of the season, but Bielik and Ibe will strengthen them in different ways.

Bielik will help shore up Derby's back-line in midfield, and Ibe will give them that extra bit of quality out wide.
