Leeds United are still in talks with Marcelo Bielsa as they look to appoint the high-regarded Argentinian as the Whites new boss.

Speculation has been rife almost as soon as Paul Heckingbottom was sacked that the former Marseille boss could be coming to Elland Road in what would be a major coup for the club.

However, things appeared to have gone quiet on that front in recent days which worried some fans given Bielsa's unpredictable nature.

Yet, Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay delivered an update on the situation this morning, revealing talks are still progressing although there's no deal yet.

As mentioned, this was to be expected given Bielsa's history. He has resigned from several clubs, had fallouts with key club figures and even lasted just two days in charge of Lazio.

With talks still ongoing, there was a mixed reaction among supporters, with some suggesting Leeds should look elsewhere, whilst others are happy to be patient as long as Bielsa arrives.
